Dear Guests / Agent

We been Informed by Manor Farm will be carrying out a modernisation program in 2018 /2019

While Altogold Ltd. guests may experience some related issues we are informed by Manor Farm this would be minimal (see text below) . We plan to be open as usual for our Guests. Although should any guests feel the need to change their accommodation arrangement please advise us as soon as possible.


1. Reception

June to August, Summer season reception (letter A) block no. 3. From September to May (winter) reception will be in building C (shop).

Starting in autumn 2018, reception will be installed all year round in building C. From mid May 2018 until August 2018, there will be renewals and extentions the locality.

Between 22nd May and end of June, especially in the starting phase, there will be occasional noise disturbances connected with the related works. Works will not start before 9 a.m. and end at 5 p.m.

End of June noise will stop and only a fence will disturb a little bit the access to the shop and the image.

We have been informed our home on the following plots may occasionally be disturbed:

2. Sanitary block no. 3 sanitary block no. 3 Is planned to entirely pull down the building and erect a completely new block. Will start on or around 20th August 2018 and they hope to finish by the end of May 2019.

From August to the end of September 2018 and from April to May 2019 sanitary facilities are available in the existing buildings nos. 1, 4, 6 and 8. From October to April 2019 - out of the tour operators’ season - a small heated sanitary container will be available for our winter guests.

They have not found a solution for our washing machines and dryers from August 2018 until May 2019. Altogold are looking into alternatives that would be exclusively for their guests

The final decision to start works on block no. 3 should be taken in autumn 2018 or eventually one year later in 2019 will be taken in June 2018. We will inform you as soon possible.

We cannot be held responsible for campsite activities beyond our control thus any related Compensation  claims and complaints cannot be considered in this period

At the same time we state here that NEUHAUS MANOR FARM AG and ALTOGOLD Ltd will not pay any compensation for customer’s com-plaints related to these issues.

You should be aware of the possibility of protest action in the Calais area on 5th September 2016.  
Delays are possible on the roads surrounding Calais, and you may wish to contact your customers travelling via Eurotunnel and advising them of the potential action.


Due to Security and political issues, If your using the Ferries this summer we recommend you allow at least 3 hours EXTRA TIME AT PORT. Note those crossing French – Belgium Boarders it is currently highly possible you will be stopped and search as part of ongoing terrorist’s activities.

On arrival simply go to Altogold Managers reception (orange lights on at night and look for the Swiss Flag).

We will prepare a Notice “WITH YOUR NAME ON” and a map showing you to your holiday home. (We will leave the kitchen light on to assist you after dark).

If you think you will not arrive and decide staying overnight on route you can text or phone the managers just so they know you will not be arriving until the next day.

Our passenger service is currently operating with some timetable disruption, this is due to an incident on the terminal which is in the process of being resolved. There is a waiting time of approximately 3 hours on the terminal. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this will cause to your journey.

Important Information: Access to Folkestone Terminal Check-In between 29/06/15 & 15/08/15

We are making improvements to our Folkestone Check-In Plaza. If you are travelling with us between 29/06/15 – 15/08/15, it is very important that you read this information.
Access from the A20 will be closed during this period and all traffic will need to join us from M20 jct 11a.
Please take extra care to adhere to the advertised speed limit as roadworks and a temporary revised access route are in place.
Once you have exited from jct 11a, there is a short diversion through our new Freight check-in plaza; this is still under construction do not stop here; follow the signs in place, continuing directly towards our Passenger check-in which is in its usual location.

Continued Industrial Action in the Port of Calais

P&O Ferries have been affected by further industrial action by the staff of MyFerryLink, another ferry company which has no connection with P&O Ferries.  As a result our services into Calais have been suspended today.

We have been warned that the industrial action could last until midnight on Thursday 2nd July. We therefore advise that we are unable to guarantee your travel arrangements for tomorrow and ask that you contact us to cancel or rebook for a later date by calling us on 01304 448877. As our phone lines are extremely busy and wait times will be long, changes or cancellations can be made any time within the next 14 days.

Please rest assured that we are doing everything we possibly can to minimise the impact of the industrial action and we will of course keep you informed of any developments as soon as we have more news.

The UK Government is introducing exit checks at all UK ports of departure, from Wednesday 8th April 2015. This means we’ll be checking passports or national identity cards when checking in for our tourist services at Dover. In order to speed up check-in make please sure you have your passport or national identity card to hand.

A land slide causing large scale debris flow occurred above Habkern and Manor Farm had to evacuate the campsite temporarily. At the moment the authorities are working together with the geologists to clarify the exact extent and hazard potential. As long as we don't have any more information about the possible danger going out To or from the Lombach river we ask you to be attentive.


In case of a re-evacuation we will sound the alarm siren. As soon as you hear the siren we ask you to go to the restaurant Landhaus as quickly as you can. There you will get further information about the situation and further procedures.

Interlaken Town


From 2012 in Interlaken the twio main Bridges will be replace over a one year period starting from mid September 2012. Buss services will run as normal but on NEW routes to Interlaken West and OST stations.
